Procedure for Exchange Students

Admission procedure for the academic year 2010-2011 :

Here is the admission procedure if you want to study next term/year at HEC-ULg :

  1. Apply on-line (on-line application form) before deadline;
  2. Print your on-line application form and send it duly signed by your coordinator and you and stamped to Marta Kucharska's office at the central administration before second deadline.

As soon as you have completed the whole application process (on-line and printed form), you will receive a letter of acceptance from the ULg.

Visa Application :

As soon as you have received the letter of acceptance, you can apply for your visa. The procedure can take 3 to 4 weeks. Make sure that you start it on time !

Practical information :

You will find here all relevant information you need to prepare your stay in Liege (Formalities, insurance, accomodation in our university residence, ULg welcoming days, french courses etc. ). Do not hesitate to contact us for further information.

Accomodations :

Regarding accomodations, you have 2 options :

1. Private accomodation "Kot" - In the city (for short or long stay) :

If you are looking for a private furnished accomodation (called Kot) in a house shared with other students, Belgian or international, close to the Louvrex Campus, please fill in the accomodation form available on the ESN (Erasmus Student Network) website. The student in charge will inform you about the possibilities in the surroundings.

Monthly rent for a Kot (private room + shared kitchen and bathroom) :

approx. 250 euros/month (including water, gas and electricity)

2. University residence - Sart Tilman (for short stay)

If you prefer to rent a room in the ULg residence on the Sart Tilman Campus (30 min. by bus from the city center), close to the B31, please fill in the accomodation form here.

Monthly rent for a furnished room with bedding (+ shared kitchen and bathroom) :

approx. 9 euros/day

Start looking for your accomodation as soon as possible !

 

Arrival in Liege :

We advise you to arrive in Liege 1 week or 10 days before classes begin. So doing, you will have time enough to discover the city and the buildings of HEC-ULg as well as to register at the ULg, at Marta Kucharska's office in order to get your student card, registration number and password (necessary to get access to internet at the ULg).
