The development of the professional project: these workshops assist students in the definition of a professional project that fit to their goals, trains them in job search processes such as the design of their CV or the writing of cover letters, and gives them many opportunities to network with the business world.

Comprendre les défis de la fonction achats (ALTA)

La démarche d'achat fait partie de votre quotidien : courses au supermarché, achat d'un téléviseur ou d'une voiture, réservation de vacances….  Sans forcément en être conscients, vous appliquez des leviers pour vous aider à prendre la meilleure décision quant à ces achats.

La fonction achats en entreprise a été structurée pour pousser les organisations à agir systématiquement de façon consciente & réfléchie en apportant des techniques & méthodologies qui soutiennent la prise de décision.

Afin de soutenir au mieux les différents départements dans leurs dépenses auprès de fournisseurs et de dégager la meilleure valeur pour l’entreprise, le professionnel des achats doit faire appel à de multiples compétences telles que : mener à bien des études de marchés fournisseurs, être à l’écoute des besoins de ses clients internes, négocier, analyser la stabilité financière des fournisseurs, gérer les risques, amener et soutenir le changement, mettre en place et gérer des contrats ; tout cela dans une approche de gestion de projets.

L’atelier permettra aux étudiants de se familiariser avec ces différents aspects notamment via des mises en situations pratiques.

Le cours s’oriente autour de 4 axes de travail structurés entre cas pratiques, partage d'expérience et de méthodologies. Ces 4 axes sont :

  • Cartographie des dépenses d'une entreprise - Les étudiants pourront appréhender la méthodologie de cartographie de dépenses d’une entreprise, clé de voute à toute analyse budgétaire ou définition de stratégie dans une fonction achats, finance et logistique.
  • Principaux leviers de la fonction achats - Présentation des principaux leviers à disposition des professionnels de la fonction achats pour les soutenir dans leur prise de décision, ainsi que l'impact de ces leviers sur l'entreprise et la relation fournisseurs.
  • Gestion des attentes internes et externes vis-à-vis de la fonction achats - Les étudiants apprendront comment gagner en légitimité auprès des clients internes au sein de l’entreprise et découvriront l’importance de la fonction achats en tant que représentant de l’entreprise auprès du marché de fournisseurs.
  • Définition et mise en place une stratégie de sourcing - De la définition du besoin d’achats, en passant par l’analyse du marché fournisseurs, la définition d’une stratégie d’achats, les méthodologies d’appel d’offres et la contractualisation, les étudiants apprendront à maîtriser le processus de sourcing de A à Z.

Understanding the economic, social and legal challenges of professional football in Belgium (MANS)

Sport - especially professional sport - is nothing without athletes, players and their trainers and coaches. It can no longer be conceived without the supervision of leaders with leading managerial skills that integrate the "specificities" of legal, relational and emotional high performance sport.

The objective of the workshop is to discover these increasingly diverse professions in professional sports, to analyze and understand the strategies of sports organizations.

By choosing a football-focused approach - the first sport on a global scale - students will be able to check :

  • If his skills (acquired or in the process of becoming) meet some of the needs required by clubs, leagues or federations
  • If he will be able to participate in the design and conduct of sport-related entrepreneurship projects.

 

Developing your Eagerness to Work Internationally (EXPO)

The workshop aims to develop students' passion for international business.

  • It will be essentially participative and even playful (role playing,...)
  • It valorizes our alumni who are concretely active internationally: testimonials from alumni doing different types of activities abroad.
  • It combines short conceptual presentations, practical exercises (in groups and sessions) and concrete testimonies that lead to a very direct exchange with the witnesses.  
  • It connects with AWEX (Walloon International Development Agency) and, in particular, its EXPLORT programme, which offers short, medium and long internships abroad.
  • This year, an opening will be made to cross-border e-commerce, with a concrete application project to develop in groups and partially in session.
  • International students are particularly welcome, with their personal experiences. They can express themselves in English if they prefer.

 

Represent HEC Liege in a Management Contest (GEST)

Type A

In this workshop, the students will represent our University in a national or international management contest. Depending on the contest chosen by each student, the aim will be to manage a company or to solve a management issue.
 
Students will be split into teams of 4 or 5. To reach their goal, team members will have to use their knowledge and know how on different topics (organisation, analysis, marketing, finance, forecasting, human relations,...) and to concieve management tools (assessment charts,...) These contests take place online and in English : registration, information, starting file, decision making and results. The problem to solve will usually be set one week before the start of the simulation.
 
This activity is very rewarding, be it through the occasion it offers to use the student's operationnal knowledge, or through its organisationnal and human aspects.

Discovering the Job Sectors in Management Sciences (METG)

Note : This workshop is only open to students enrolled in the Economic and Management Sciences programme. If you are registered in Business Engineering, see the workshop "Discovering the Job Sections in Business Engineering".

The objective of this workshop is to introduce students to the different facets of their training opportunities. Behind this objective is also the discovery of their professional project and of their personal selection criteria.

To meet these objectives, we offer them the opportunity to meet various professionals, most of whom are HEC Liège graduates. These will share their experiences and help students answer all their questions. Without claiming to give an exhaustive list of the opportunities available, this workshop offers a sample of professional experience.

These diversified meetings, based on the different stages of the professional career (Junior/middle Management/Top Management), will also allow students to perfect their knowledge of the economic fabric by addressing the different networks revolving around these professionals.

To do so, the workshop will be divided into several phases:

1st phase: Session oriented towards the discovery of oneself and one's professional objectives: "what are the key elements related to my professional development, what questions can I ask professionals to discover these elements?, etc.»

2nd phase: Meetings with professionals specialized in sectors related to management sciences.

3rd phase: Day dedicated to the profession of the participants' choice, the one meeting their objectives. Concept of "live my life", during which students spends a day with a professional who agrees to share his/her daily life with them.

4th phase: Debriefing field experiences, in connection with the first session. After these testimonies in class and out in the field, students are asked the following questions: "What do I like and which management sciences professions suit me? ».

5th phase: submission of an analysis report, answering the questions of the 4th phase in order to develop the reflection related to professional opportunities.

Discover your motivation profile and your talents (ORIP)

What is important to me? What are my values? What makes sense to me? Why do I wake up in the morning? What makes me get involved? What do I need to thrive in life and later in my job? How can I feel at home and develop my talents?

An observation: to succeed and flourish, it is better to love what we do!

This is why, through this workshop, we propose to identify your main sources of motivation. You will be able to deduce from it the conditions conducive to the realization of your potential. You will have to make the difference between your motivations (what I like to do) and your skills (what I know how to do) and to point out the characteristics of use (content and context) that will contribute to your fulfillment. Answering these questions will make it easier for you to find the right orientation choices and find your way. Modalities: The workshop is conceived in four sessions. The learning is done through discussions, individual or subgroup exercises, work and readings.

We use an innovative approach, sisem, to identify the engines that propel us into existence, especially at work. It is a method of self-knowledge based on meaning, pleasure and envy.

Nous avons de multiples opportunités professionnelles devant nous, décuplées par des pratiques offrant de plus en plus de flexibilité (gig economy, "slasheurs", réorientation, etc.).

Comment définir une voie professionnelle porteuse de sens, qui nous corresponde vraiment, c'est à dire mette bien à profit nos compétences uniques, nous passionne, soit alignée avec nos valeurs et nous permette d'en vivre?

Cet atelier s'adresse aux étudiants qui se questionnent sur leur orientation dans leurs études et carrière, et veulent s'investir activement dans la définition de leur réussite personnelle et professionnelle.

En suivant la méthodologie de l'Ikigai, vous découvrirez une série d'outils de développement personnel et orientation professionnelle pour vous guider, et vous vous initierez au coaching de pairs ("peer coaching").
