New : University Certificate in Preparation for the Doctoral Project
From Monday 25 February until Friday 17 May 2019
Doctoral candidates sometimes face confusion: Will their project hold water? Do they possess the skills to see it through to success? Is this a relevant career choice?
In order to enable future doctoral candidates to structure their research project under the guidance of an academic or scientific supervisor, while benefiting from the scientific infrastructure of its laboratories and research units, the University of Liège set up a 3-month training programme in 2011: the University Certificate in preparation for the doctoral project. It’s the way to get equipped with all the tools to get the doctoral project off to a good start!
The certificate is aimed at:
- all Master graduates from ULiège or outside ULiège who are considering whether or not to pursue a doctoral programme and take up the occupation of researcher;
- all candidates for a doctoral grant who would be able to state their project and develop their competences, whatever the outcome of their funding request turns out to be;
- all professionally active persons holding a graduate degree who would like to start working on a doctorate in relation to their professional activity.
The certification course will take place over 12 weeks, full time, on a day schedule.
In 2018/2019, the English session will start from Monday 25 February until Friday 17 May 2019.
