Founded in 2000, the Chair is the result of a partnership between the Center of Social Economy (HEC Liege) and the cooperative financial group Cera.      
Its purpose is to register and develop support, in the university context, for cooperative and social entrepreneurship. 

The Chair develops teaching and research projects on three specific topics:

  • the evaluation of the social impact of social and cooperative enterprises
  • the business models of social enterprises and cooperatives
  • the project financing of associative and cooperative projects.
