Programs
The program at HEC-ULg is:
Structured courses with a core curriculum focused on the essential modules: condensed courses worth a minimum of 5 credits each, demonstrating one week of typical classes and balanced exam periods for the students; a typical first year undergraduate student week.
Reinforced foreign language teaching and established internationalization of the School
For undergraduates, two foreign languages are on the program: English (taught in small groups from the first year on) and from the second year onwards, another language of the student’s own choice (Dutch, German, Spanish or Italian). The number of credits language courses are worth has been increased.
The objective is an in-depth mastery of English and the achievement of European knowledge level B2 for the 2nd language. If this level is achieved, the student can choose a third language in the first year of a Masters.
At Masters level, HEC-ULg offers the option of a course entirely taught in English. This immersion is a guarantee of future professional success. We are also developing double degrees in all the languages taught at the School, in addition to our 150 university partnerships abroad.
A Skills Portfolio offers students a wide range of trans-disciplinary workshops allowing them to develop soft skills (communication skills, negotiating, leadership, etc) and to assemble a professional project and to acquire operational skills. Activities in the OICs (mini-enterprises - junior enterprises - student associations), which are real mini-enterprises that actually offer students the opportunity to participate in the management of various sectors of the School, will be put to advantage in this framework.
New specializations offered at Masters level in the three main subject areas:
Management Sciences, Management Engineering and Economic Sciences. Most of these specialties are linked to the School's six peaks of excellence, and therefore benefit from the School's first-rate research programs, the associated international academic networks and the contributions of the School's large partner companies.
