Anne is an Assistant lecturer in Accounting in the Department of Law and Finance at HEC Management School - University of Liège . She teaches accounting and finance. Master in Applied Economics (FUCAM) & Advanced Master in Tax Law (HEC Liège). She has accompanied students at various stages of their training. Participates in the working out of an online campus in management (CVG), with special relation to VAT and financial analysis.

Thierry Chantraine, ULg

Thierry Chantraine

Thierry Chantraine graduated as Civil Engineer (Aero) from the University of Liege in 1985 (consolidated through a Superior Cycle of Management from ICHEC -Brussels in 1998), before starting a career mostly dedicated to the aerospace industry.

Thus, in 1992, Thierry Chantraine joined Techspace Aero (a subsidiary of Safran Group), where he was in charge of various positions in the Manufacturing, Quality or Engineering areas. In 2002, he became Director of the Overhaul, Maintenance and Repair activity at Techspace Aero until 2008 when Pratt & Whitney (UTC) acquired this MRO division, focused on military engines. At this point, Thierry Chantraine became General Manager of the newly created Belgian subsidiary of the renowned US Engine manufacturer (Pratt & Whitney Belgium engine Center).

On July 2011, Thierry Chantraine was nominated by the University of Liège Academic Council as CSL General Manager and will officially take up duty on August 16, 2011.

Marc Deschamps

Marc Deschamps

Marc Deschamps is graduated from U.C. Leuven as an engineer (1973) and gets his degree both in Law (1978) and in Economics (1979). In 1979, he joins Societe Generale de Belgique and, after attending the Sloan program at stanford universityin 1984-85, he creates Synerfi, a development capital firm dedicated to SMEs. In 1992, Marc Deschamps buys out investructure, a service company that he develops in more than twenty countries. In 1999, the company’s international network is taken over by a major international player. In 2000, he creates Investparks, dedicated to the development of science parks linked to universities in emerging countries and, in 2006, he launches Exego, specializing in corporate governance services. Marc Deschamps is Affiliate Professor at HEC Liège and lecturer at Solvay Brussels School (ULB-Brussels). His current main fields of interest are corporate governance and Islamic finance. Marc Deschamps is also a founding director of the Forum francophone des affaires in Belgium, of the Association du management and ofGuberna (the Belgian corporate governance association). He has published various articles on corporate governance in European Business Forum, in PME/KMO and in Actualité Comptable (a Kluwer Publication). He has lectured numerous times for business as well as academic circles on four continents.

Sven De Weerdt, Prof. dr., Hasselt University

Sven De Weerdt

Sven De Weerdt mostly works as a process consultant. In addition, he teaches Philosophy of Science at the transnational University Limburg(Belgium/Netherlands), and he is involved in the HR Leadership executive program (Hasselt University). Over the last five years he has been exploring the relevance and possible application of Buddhist psychology to leadership development.

Olivier Lisein

Olivier Lisein

Olivier Lisein, PhD in Management Sciences, is Assistant Professor at HEC Management School – University of Liège and Senior Researcher at LENTIC, a multidisciplinary laboratory of HEC Liège where studies are focused on New Technologies, Innovation and Change. He is currently Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Bentley University (Boston, MA – USA), where he works with Prof. M.Lynne Markus in the Department of Information and Process Management. Olivier’s main research and teaching interests are focused on strategic, organizational and human aspects of innovation processes, IT projects management, e-business and e-commerce strategies, and change management; he also deals with Organization Theory and Human Resources Management domains in part of his activities. Olivier is also involved in supporting and consulting missions in businesses and in public organizations in the before-mentioned fields.

    Markus Fredebeul-Krein, Prof. dr., Fh Aachen

    Markus Fredebeul-Krein

    Markus Fredebeul-Krein is a Professor at Aachen University of Applied Sciences. He holds a Diploma degree and a PhD in economics from the University of Cologne and a Master's degree from the University of Warwick. His research interests are economics of competition policy and the regulation of telecommunication markets. In this function he has presented dozens of scientific papers at international conferences in different worldwide countries and he has also published several articles in international scientific journals. 

    Professor Fredebeul-Krein is also scientific advisor of various consultancy companies. He develops business and regulatory strategies, in particular for firms and government institutions in telecommunications markets.

    Michael Frings, Prof. dr., FH Aachen

    Michael Frings

    Michael Frings studied at the Universities of Cologne/Germany and Geneva/Switzerland from 1969 to 1973, wrote the thesis for the PHD of the University of Cologne in International Private Law (Theme: The international aircraft carrier contract) from 1974 to 1975, was in a legal clerkship (Referendarzeit) 1975/1976, worked as a judge at different courts in Aachen and Cologne from 1977 to 1994, is professor in German and International Business Law at FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences since 1994, in the same time he is responsible for the double degree program “European Business Studies”, passed the winter term 2010/2011 at the Adama University in Ethiopia to build up the law department of this University.

    Georges Hübner, Prof. dr., HEC Liège

    Georges Hübner

    PhD., INSEAD, Georges HUBNER is the Deloitte Full Professor of Financial Management, co-chair of the Finance Department and Board member of HEC Management School - University of Liège. He is also Associate Professor of Finance at Maastricht University and Affiliate Professor at EDHEC (Lille/Nice). Georges regularly provides preparation seminars for the GARP (Global Association of Risk Professionals) and CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) certifications. He is also co-founder and scientific director of Gambit Financial Solutions, a spin-off company of HEC Liège that produces sophisticated software solutions for investor profiling, portfolio optimization and risk management. Georges has published numerous books and research articles about credit risk, hedge funds and derivatives. He obtained the best paper award 2002 of the Journal of Banking and Finance, and the Operational Risk & Compliance Achievement Award 2006 for the best academic paper. He is the inventor of the Generalized Treynor Ratio, a popular portfolio performance measure.

    Jean Claude Lahaut, dr., HEC Liège

    Jean Lahaut is Doctor in Law from the University of Liège and holds an MBA from the HEC (Hautes Etudes Commerciales) Paris. He started his career in 1971 as teaching assistant in the dept of Commercial Law at the University of Liège. In 1974, he became Principal private secretary to Jean Gol (Secretary of State, regional economy), before moving in 1979 to Lafarge-Coppée and managing Lafarge Prestia in France. He co-founded Eurogentec SA in 1985, nowadays an international biotechnological group. Jean-Claude Lahaut joined Solvay in 1989, where he was in charge of Solvay Veterinär GmbH in Germany before becoming European Public Affairs Manager in Brussels. He is now Affiliate Professor at HEC- Liège.

    Frank Lambrechts, Prof.dr., Hasselt University

    Frank Lamberchts

    Frank J. Lambrechts holds a master’s degree in Organizational Psychology (K.U.Leuven) and PhD in social sciences from Tilburg University (the Netherlands). Today, Lambrechts is professor of organizational change & learning at the KIZOK Research Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Hasselt University (Belgium). His research and teaching interests focus on the nature and quality of relationships that shape trust, leadership, co-ownership and joint learning in organizational change and learning contexts. He has a special interest in how these relational dynamics play out in family firms and boards of directors. Besides teaching in bachelor and master progammes of the faculty of Business Economics, he is actively involved in executive postgraduate training on people and leadership development.

    Hilda Martens, Prof.dr., Hasselt University

    Hilda Martens

    Hilda Martens hold a master in pedagogy next to one in family sciences  (K.U.Leuven) and she has a PhD fin social sciences from Tilburg University (the Netherlands). Today, Hilda is professor at Hasselt University teaching BA and MSc courses on People management, Diversity management, Total quality management, and Organisational Psychology at the faculty of Business Economics. Her research focuses on how diversity management and age- related HRM can be improved and implemented in organizations. She prefers an action research methodology in which the participation of organization members in real life settings is crucial. Moreover, she is an important part of the organizing team of the postgraduate programme CIGO that aims at improving the skills of change agents, consultants, and managers with respect to their role in facilitating and supporting change processes.

    Wilfried Niessen, Prof., HEC Liège

    Wilfried Niessen

    Wilfried NIESSEN has been active in lecturing and business management for twenty years. He set up four companies in the fields of information technology for management (ERP), advising and accountancy-taxation. He is a chartered accountant and tax specialist. For many years, he has combined solid practical experience and lecturing through various publications (Comprenez votre comptable, Versta uw boekhouder, Tableau de Bord et business plan, etc.) and high-level training in public companies and institutions (FORTIS, Belgacom, La Poste…). He is fluent and lectures in French, Dutch, German and English. His areas of expertise are accountancy, business simulations, finance for non-financial managers, IT for management and the setting up of businesses. He is a consultant and trainer for businesses. He chairs the examination boards of the Bachelor’s programme in economics and management sciences; he is Associate Professor and leader of the management sciences programme and of core competences in corporate finance.

    Piet Pauwels, Prof.dr., Hasselt University

    Piet Pauwels

    Piet Pauwels (1970) holds a Master's Degree in Marketing from the Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Hasselt University. Today, Prof. Pauwels is the dean of the faculty of Business Economics at Hasselt University. He is full professor of marketing teaching international and industrial marketing in the BA and MSc programmes. He is involved in research programmes related to organizational market learning in the context of export marketing, new product development, and global purchasing. He was a visiting scholar at Michigan State University (USA) and has been invited as a guest lecturer at, among others, Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School, KU Leuven, TU Eindhoven, and University of StGallen. He has been involved in research and/or consulting to internationalizing companies operating mainly in a business-to-business context.

    Wolfram Pietsch

    Dr. Wolfram Pietsch is Senior Professor in the field of Business Management, International Sales and Service Management at the Aachen University of Applied Sciences, where he is responsible for different Bachelor and Master lectures and seminars in business management, i.e. strategic product and innovation management. He has been authoring numerous publications and hosting several national and international conferences and performing many successful cooperation project, e.g. with Vodafone. He has been pioneering the introduction, adaptation, and enrichment of methods for strategic, customer-oriented business, product and process design employing the method QFD since the early nineties. In 2009 the Akao Prize has been awarded to Dr. Wolfram Pietsch.

    Jean Tondeur, Prof., HEC Liège

    Jean Tondeur

    Jean Tondeur holds a degree of Sciences Economiques from Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), and a Master Degree in Management from SBS-EM (ULB). He started his career in the sales and marketing area in a business to business environment and held various marketing and sales executive responsibilities in FMCG sector and in the services sector. He has  been a partner-consultant in Marketing and strategy in consulting companies. He is the former President of the UER (Unité d’enseignement et de recherche) Marketing of HEC where he is an Associate Professor in Marketing Management since 1992.

    He founded various Executive Education programmes  within HEC Liège (among others Master in Management post-graduate degree, IFV -Institut des forces de Vente) and has taught for years at various Management Schools in Belgium, Vietnam (SBS-EM MBA) , Bulgaria (Master Degree IFAG). He has conceived and animated Management Programs with National and International companies as Fortis Group, Belgacom, Mobistar, La Poste, … Jean's key qualifications are in the areas of service marketing, sales management and strategy.
