HEC-ULg Entrepreneurs: a unique concept!

HEC-ULg Entrepreneurs is a course which covers entrepreneurship in the broadest sense. It is characterized by its practical learning and teaching methods which are unique in Belgium and are entirely structured around and complementary to both Belgian and foreign businesses.

The participants, in pluri-disciplinary teams supervised by their mentor, work on real dossiers submitted by real businesses and produce professional analyses and solutions to the questions raised.

How ?

During their missions, the teams each comprising three program participants, work on a real and concrete project, closely interacting with the business "client" and under the supervision of a "Mentor". On completion of their work, they submit directly useful responses and solutions.

At the end of each mission, the teams defend their results before a jury. These juries are usually presided over by two people from the business world and include a hundred or so professionals.

After each jury session, we invite everyone for a cocktail so that everyone involved can get together. It is then, in a more convivial atmosphere, that opinions are shared and business cards exchanged.

While for our participants, the HEC-ULg Entrepreneurs training means direct access to the spirit of entrepreneurship, for businesses it is a unique opportunity to get ahead with their projects.

In other words, HEC-ULg Entrepreneurs:

Stands for six years' experience in six different enterprises and in different sectors.

Pluri-disciplinary teams of university graduates (Engineers, Master in Management, Lawyers, Sociologists, Master in Communication);

Concrete work which is directly utilizable by client businesses;

Coaching by professionals for each working team;

A 6-week mission as a right-hand assistant during which each participant shadows a company director on a daily basis and learns about the daily life of an entrepreneur;

Five juries, during which around a hundred professionals from all sectors evaluate the teams' work and exchange viewpoints.  Discussions can continue during the cocktails.
