Develop a City Branding Strategy

Cities are today facing competition just like most products, services and organizations. Several cities decided to jump on the marketing train and developed a branding strategy. Of course cities aren’t common goods, they have specific characteristics and attributes. Branding a city is somewhat different from branding a consumer good. We have to take into account all the actors that will take part in the branding strategy and all the targets that a city might want to reach.
We will focus on our local environment: our beautiful city of Liège. City managers will be invited to share with us their current projects. You will then collect complementary information about this situation, analyze the data you collected and creatively develop a branding strategy for our city. To reach this goal, you will work in teams. At the end of the workshop, each team presents its own project in front of classmates and city representatives.
