Biography: Sabine Limbourg is Full Professor in transport, logistics and supply chain management and a researcher at QuantOM, both at HEC Liège - Management School of the University of Liège. Her research, strongly related to European transport policy for sustainable development, has led to the improvement of decision support systems for freight transportation planning. It focusses on establishing links between advanced operations management and the needs of both enterprises and communities. She is also involved in several multidisciplinary research projects; her main expertise is in facility location, traffic assignment problems, intermodal transport optimization and loading constraints. She has published research articles in journals such as Transportation Research, Journal of the Operational Research Society, and international Journal of Production Economics.
