Doctoral thesis: A study of the contribution of correspondence analysis for bankruptcy prevention in SMEs

Biography: With a PhD in Business Administration (1992, ULiège), Didier VAN CAILLIE is Full Professor of Management Control Systems and Performance Management. Since 1997, he has managed the Service of Diagnosis and Control of the Firm. In 2001, he has founded the Research Center on Corporate Performance. This research center is focused on the study of the design of management control systems and of safety, risk and performance management systems in any kind of organizations, notably in industrial high-tech SMEs (specifically, in high-tech spin-offs) and in not-for-profit organizations (specifically, in Health Care Organizations). Papers and research papers of the CEPE are published in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences on Management Control, Business Process Management, Risk and Safety Management, Management Accounting, Entrepreneurship and Small-Business Management. His research interests are also focused on didactic of doctoral research. Simultaneously, he has been appointed as Administrator or Independent Administrator in many organizations and small firms, including the HEC Management School - University of Liège (1993-1995).
